Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (Partner Organization)

The Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (AIBD), established in 1977 under the auspices of UNESCO, is a unique regional inter-governmental organization servicing countries of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN-ESCAP) in the field of electronic media development. It is hosted by the Government of Malaysia and the secretariat is located in Kuala Lumpur. The Institute enjoys a membership of 26 countries, 94 affiliates and 58 partners in Asia, Pacific, Europe and North America as of December 2010.

DW Akademie (Partner Organization)

DW Akademie is the center of media development of Deutsche Welle, the international multimedia broadcaster from Germany. DW Akademie provides training for media professionals and consults media organizations around the world. It also supports local institutions that offer media training and journalism education in many countries of Asia-Pacific, Central Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East. DW Akademie believes that good journalism and professional media is at the heart of any free and open society.

MMDC Facilities

MMDC is aiming to provide the highest quality of training and educational services to the community and the nation. The MMDC currently occupies a 6,846 square feet floor area at JUNCTION SQUARE. It has state of the art classrooms, computer editing rooms, a mini studio, recording studio, a library/ conference room, and a student lounge. The center is Wi-Fi enabled, allowing students access to the World Wide Web anywhere in the center. In addition, MMDC enhances the students’ learning experience with online communication tools activities using the “Facebook”, the “MMDC website”; providing relevant and important information and news to the students.
